IKEA's $10 new wireless charger might make you hungry

IKEA is back at it again with its impressive knack for making tech that doubles as decor. From smart lighting to basic cable organizers, the global home and furniture giant sells all sorts of devices and accessories hidden throughout its carefully curated demo rooms and spaces.

If you like to walk through its never-ending loops -- playing house before indulging in some meatballs at the food court like I do -- you might miss its newest (and cutest) wireless charger: the Västmärke. Following IKEA's iconic Scandinavian naming system, the uber-affordable charger supports Qi2 wireless charging and is made of soft red silicone.

And that's not all IKEA has up its well-decorated sleeve. There are two other new stylish Västmärke wireless chargers in the drop if the puck-style charger doesn't strike your fancy.

A $10 steal

The Västmärke puck-style wireless charger stands out on any flat surface because of its happy red hue that's neither obnoxious nor subtle. Its donut-like shape is made of soft-to-the-touch silicone that practically begs you to pick it up and hold it while you scroll on TikTok waiting for a full charge. When you do, you can turn the top half of the donut inside out to create a PopSocket-like grip without disconnecting from the power.

It can charge Qi-certified devices, and is compatible with the iPhone 8 or Samsung Galaxy S6 -- plus any newer models, of course. It also supports Power Delivery (PD 3.0) and Quick Charge (QC 2.0). It features a USB-C cable to connect to power, which is easily hidden within its donut-shape for clutter-less storage.

For $10, I'm ordering it simply to add a pop of unexpected red to my desktop. However, I see it taking up a permanent residence in my travel bag when I hit the road because of how easily it packs up ready to go.

A USB-C charging block is not included.

Naturally minimalist for $25

The other two Västmärke wireless chargers up the ante to $25, but they're still a fantastic deal in the grand scheme of stylish wireless tech. The Västmärke wireless charging stand is made of a warm cork material that lends itself well to blending in with the more natural tones of your space -- whether you want to prop it up to read a recipe in the kitchen or keep a display lit on your night stand.

The wireless charging stand is compatible with all the same models and supports all the same charging speed as the puck-style charger above. While the stand doesn't fare as well for active use, it'll surely sit there looking pretty.

The included connection cable is 47-inches long.

Another $25, but this time with a light show

Arguably my favorite of the three Västmärke models, this accessory is a wireless charger disguised as a wide-brimmed key bowl. Oh, and sports a warm built-in lamp that emits a soft glow when you press the puck in the middle. If your household has banned the 'big light' like mine, I'd buy this charger just for the mood lighting -- wireless charging is just an added bonus.

The bowl is made from a durable polycarbonate plastic that helps avoid scratch marks, so it's key and coin safe (plus any other little trinkets that make their way into the aesthetic decoration.

The wireless charging bowl also retails for $25, but it's a steal in the name of ambient lighting and multi-functional use. Anything that can kill two birds with one stone (well) is on my wishlist, and the Västmärke wireless charging bowl is making its way to the top.
