There are several official accessories available for Amazon's lineup of Kindle e-readers, including cases and charging docks, but its newest accessory might surprise you.
The Sling Bag is made from recycled leather and, honestly, looks quite stylish -- though I'm not a fashion expert by any means. The biggest downside, in my opinion, is the Kindle logo emblazoned on the front, which definitely detracts from its overall clean look.
The main strap on the Sling Bag is adjustable, so you can wear it comfortably. Inside the bag, there are multiple compartments to store not only your Kindle but also items like your glasses, phone, and charger.
Amazon's Sling Bag for Kindles is priced at $80 -- nearly the same price as the standard Kindle -- but it's on sale for $70 if you're interested in picking one up for your Kindle.

It doesn't fit every Kindle model
This bag is designed for Kindle users on the go
One important thing to know about Amazon's new Sling Bag for Kindles is that it doesn't fit all Kindle models. While it fits a standard Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Colorsoft, the larger Kindle Scribe won't fit.
Additionally, a neat feature of the bag that Amazon strangely doesn't mention in its product description is a small leather strap you can attach and detach from the side, with notches you can use to prop up your Kindle. So, whether you're on a flight, on a train, or at a coffee shop, you can see this prop up your Kindle without having to hold it.
You might be surprised to discover that this isn't the first time Amazon has launched a Kindle-related product out of left field. The Kindle Umbrella and Kindle Mug have both been available officially from Amazon for a while now, and are decorated with the Kindle logo depicting a person reading under a tree.
The Kindle accessory I'm hoping Amazon releases next is a page turner device, similar to the Kobo Remote.
As someone who typically carries everything in a backpack, I understand why a small sling bag like this could be useful -- especially for people who travel with their Kindles on vacation or out and about daily and want something small and light. That said, Kindles are small enough to fit in most pockets, so it's easy to see why some might question the need for this accessory. However, as Android Police points out, the Kindle subreddit is full of people customizing their Kindles with cases and stickers. So, for those who like to "bling out" their Kindle and carry it in style, a bag like this could be appealing.
Amazon's Sling Bag for Kindles is now available, priced at $70 in black or white. Overall, it's a stylish accessory, though a bit pricey for my taste. The Kindle accessory I'm hoping Amazon releases next is a page-turner device, similar to the Kobo Remote. While plenty of third-party page turners exist, it would be nice if Amazon offered its own.
