Nearly a month after announcing the global launch of its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 15, OnePlus has finally opened pre-orders in the US.

To incentivize pre-orders, OnePlus is offering a free gift with the OnePlus 15, including either a 43mm OnePlus Watch 3 (worth $300) or a pair of Buds 3 Pro earbuds (valued at $180).

While pre-orders for the OnePlus 15 began in many countries in November, orders in the US were delayed because the phone did not receive its FCC clearance in time due to the now-resolved US government shutdown.

Compared to last year's model, the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 15 starts at the same price of $900, so there hasn't been any price increase, which is definitely nice to see after it feels like the cost of everything else has gone up this year.

Additionally, while the OnePlus 15 is now available on OnePlus' official website, it will also be available for purchase from Best Buy and Amazon soon.

OnePlus 15 pre-orders arrive at the perfect time

The OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad 2 Go are also launching soon

Pre-orders for the OnePlus 15 in the US have opened at an opportune time for OnePlus, as it's holding its next product launch event on December 17 for the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad 2 Go, and it would've been awkward if its flagship phone still wasn't available.

Pocket-lint's John Kanellakos recently had the chance to test the OnePlus 15 and was very impressed by its excellent battery life, thanks to its massive 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery, its stunning and responsive 165Hz display, and its high-quality build. The phone also rocks Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, so it's more than capable of handling anything you throw at it.

The OnePlus 15R, which OnePlus is set to launch soon, will serve as a mid-range alternative to the OnePlus 15. It's expected to come at a lower price point with slightly toned-down specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset instead of the faster 8 Elite Gen 5 found in the OnePlus 15. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, it's worth holding out for the 15R.

OnePlus will also launch its first budget tablet in the US later this month, the OnePlus Pad 2 Go, so December is shaping up to be an exciting month for OnePlus fans. Prices and exact specifications aren't known yet for the OnePlus 15R or the Pad Go 2, but all will be revealed on December 17.

As for the OnePlus 15, if you've been eagerly awaiting your chance to get your hands on the phone since its global launch was announced, you can now do so with pre-orders live and even get a free gift with it.
