About Adam Davidson
Adam has a degree in Engineering, having always been fascinated by how tech works. Tech websites have saved him hours of tearing his hair out on countless occasions, and he enjoys the opportunity to pay it forward by writing articles that may save other people from hours of tech frustration as well.
Adam is a big fan of home automation, having used software such as OpenHAB and Home Assistant for almost a decade to make his smart home a little smarter. His most recent project involved using Home Assistant to turn a wireless keyboard/remote into a universal remote for all his AV devices after his Harmony remote died.
What was your first phone?
My first smartphone was an iPhone 3GS.
When did your interest in technology begin?
My dad has always been involved in computers and other tech, so I don't really remember a time when I wasn't interested in technology.
What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?
I love smart home products that serve a genuinely useful purpose, rather than being smart for the sake of it. A video doorbell can be genuinely useful in your day-to-day life, while a smart bidet may not be as much.
