4 streaming apps that still let you share passwords for free

Though you might not be able to share your Netflix password anymore, there are still a few apps that allow users to share accounts as freely as (apparently) their love. The list may be dwindling, but as of 2025, here are the major streamers who don't mind if you give your cousin, your aunt or even your sweetie your password.

4 Peacock

The whole family can watch The Office

For quite a long time Peacock was the app my family used to watch The Office and that was basically it. However, I have to give NBCUniversal some props as there is a lot more content nowadays on the streamer. From blockbuster movies like Wicked: Part One and Nosferatu to fun original series like The Traitors, there's actually quite a bit to watch on the streamer, and with the app allowing for three concurrent streams regardless of location, everyone can find something to watch on the app together.

3 Apple TV+

As long as you're in the family sharing group, you're A-OK

Apple TV+ actually allows you to share your account the second you log in, as subscribers will automatically share their account with their family group, which is great if, like me, you have a large group of people in the same Family Sharing group. However, if you are looking to share your Apple TV+ account with friends or acquaintances, it can be a little bit of a challenge to share your Apple TV+ subscription, as it gives access to your full Apple account, which may include payment and subscription details. You can still give folks your login details, just know that the potential is there to give access to more than just the most recent season of Severance.

2 Paramount+

F is for friends who do stuff together

Of all the streaming apps on this list, Paramount+ is actually the easiest to share with a friend as the app specifically allows for three alternate devices and user profiles outside a single household. So no matter whether you want to watch SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek, or even the newest Transformers movie, if you've got a buddy with a Paramount+ subscription, you're in business!

1 Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video may not be the world's most-watched streaming service, but it is the one most likely to show you ads, which is perhaps why the streamer doesn't really mind if you share your account. In order to get the most out of sharing a Prime Video subscription, users can simply add another adult to their Amazon Family household and they'll be able to stream all of Amazon Prime's exclusive content, including Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Hazbin Hotel and The Wheel of Time.
