Yep. It's time. Been using an ASUS RT-AU86. Have two people doing video conferencing on a 1Gig plan from Spectrum. Our connection maxes out at ~650Mbps regardless of usage. WE do have 2 PCs, three cellphones, two TVs and about 30 more IoT devices. Would be interested to know whether you recommend a standalone Device like the never ASUS RTs or a mesh router.
I installed a basic mesh TP Link (wifi 7) for a client. It was relatively easy to set up and has been flawless since. However, the interface didn't seem as full bodied as the ASUS line. I recently switched to MullVAD VPN and the 86U doesn't want to play with the Wireguard setup. It's DOA even when fully installed.
