I don't disagree, but sometimes you are being dense on purpose. Most decent phones can work as a temp display. Put that 4k phone to work.
Overall, though, a decent laptop sounds like a better option than a mini pc. BTW I have 3 of them and I use my ASUS mini 5 days a week.
