Where to start :
Chromebooks are the goto for school because you can operate "your" account, it's not a shared "personal" device like ipads are.
Apples model sells a iPad to every student in the ideal world, chrome sells a solution for a school o a Budget, but overtime Chromebooks have got more expensive and I have always hated the idea that ipads and Chromebook have an expiry date on them. This is where Microsoft comes in, with their "spec restrictions" on who can install windows 11 they are late to the party but have got up to speed quickly.
Gone are the days of "drive it till it's dead" now we are on subscription service hardware that we think we own because we paid for it. Not so....
All three are now doing basically the same things.
Where is the innovation - the cutting edge ground breaking change that we want to shake up the desktop world!
Let's not forget how good android was going to be on a Chromebook when in reality it often never delivered - incompatibility issues often stopped the desirable apps from being installed, Google has the biggest graveyard and can and will change course without warning.
