I don't understand the big deal about an android OS. You can use an emulator like blue stacks to run ANY android app. I use it all the time. It's particularly handy for running Google Home, and it functions just like my phone.

This has been a thing in the rooting works for a long time now. On all my pixel phones starting with the pixel 4, prior to my pixel 10, I could slide my finger on the flashlight toggle to adjust the brightness.

If you like the pixel launcher then try Lawnchair. It's just like the native pixel launcher but better. And you can customize any way you want, even getting rid of at-a-glance. But you'll have to use the dev beta's or the nightly builds on GitHub, the one in the play store isn't the official one.
