About Roger Fingas

Roger is a long-time tech journalist with many site credits including AppleInsider and Android Authority. His specialties include everything from Apple, Android, and Windows devices through to wearables, gaming, audio gear, EVs, and smart home platforms. In his free time, his biggest interests are weightlifting, EUCs, movies, and games.

What was your first phone?

An LG flip phone sold by Virgin Mobile, probably released around 2005 or so. It was very, very basic, but it got the job done.

When did your interest in technology begin?

I can't think of a time I wasn't interested in tech in some way - my family got its first PC when I was 6, and since then I've never been without one. I've always wanted to see personal tech evolve faster and farther.

What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?

I'm deeply into fitness tracking, being an avid weightlifter, along with PC and console gaming. More recently I've become obsessed with PEVs, primarily electric unicycles.
