Agreed. This author needs to know that no manufacturer is willing to listen to his wishes, and that he's not the center of the world. It's like he's trying to phone-ify the laptops by telling manufacturers to remove the headphone jack. Next thing we know, he'll post the same thing for SD card slots for laptops. Maybe people really need this headphone jack? Or maybe there are professional audio producers who use studio-grade wired headphones? So, it's not time to retire the 3.5mm audio jack from laptops.
If this really happened, then a lot of people would be angry, just like what happened with phones, and it's Apple who started this trash. It's like as if the author had nothing good to say so he proceeded to think "Let's anger people by publishing an article that talks about my wish of deleting the headphone jack from laptops." Even today's laptops still have this headphone jack!
Don't even get me started on how I had to mess with the Bluetooth drivers and paired devices list to get my Bose QC45 Bluetooth headphones (that also has 3.5mm jack!) to reconnect to my laptop, just because I updated the Bluetooth drivers. It's Microshaft who are too lazy to fix this issue. Android doesn't do this for every update, and the author is telling the laptop manufacturers to remove this jack? The worst article was published at the worst time possible!
"Please retire the 3.5mm headphone jack from laptops and give us ports we actually need"? More like "Please don't retire the 3.5mm headphone jack from laptops while giving us ports we actually need".
